Today we had a podcast interview with a public defender in Charleston named George Castelle. He was responsible for writing a draft for the state Supreme Court appeal of the man convicted of murdering the girls.
Hoppy Kercheval, who is sometimes referred to as "the Dean of West Virginia broadcasting", was just beginning his career as trial began in the murders of Mared and Karen. The podcast team spoke with him today about his memories of the trial, and about the general atmosphere in Morgantown at the time.
